Family Session at Hendricks Park in Eugene, Oregon

I met with this beautiful family in the evergreen town of Eugene, Oregon over the summer, and I’m in love with how much fun they have together, the authentically goofy personalities of the kids, and the vibrant colors they coordinated! I am a firm believer in not over-styling your session, because when you look back on your family photos over the years, you want them to look like YOU, not some dolled up strangers. However, color coordinating while still keeping true to your style is totally up my alley. Also, a girl in a flower crown is always a good idea.

I invited the kids to bring their favorite stuffies along for the session to help bring out their cuddly nature, and I honestly love the ones they’re included in. I remember my favorite stuffed animals from when I was little (in fact I still have a couple) and I love spotting them in old photos, in good, pre-dog-chewed, shape.

This family is all about fun and expressing joy and silliness, so we ran with it. Literally! I can’t handle it when kids have fun with my “run to me” suggestions!
