A Bridal Session at a California Vineyard

Here we have a little bridal session at the beautiful Callaway Winery in Temecula, California. And a few important notes can be taken from this shoot, if you’ll indulge me.

First, I’m obsessed with the bride’s loose and long hair! I appreciate all the artistry that goes into wedding hair styling, but sometimes I’m saddened when lusciously long locks are hidden away in an updo. I love how she let her hair be free and flowing, allowing the sun to catch it in all the right ways.

Second, this short wedding dress is just too cute for words! It shows that you don’t need a long train slowing you down if you want to be free to frolic. Or, free to show off…

(Third) … your ankle corsage! Yes ladies and gents, a single ankle corsage, my new very favorite thing on this earth! It is honestly reason enough for me to covet short wedding dresses from now on. Period.

And lastly, I enjoy the simplicity of this shoot, and how quickly it can be done. You may think there isn’t time on your big day to hang out with me (your photographer) living out your supermodel dreams, but I’m telling you, there is! While I could have taken photos of this bombshell all the live long day, these images probably took a total of 20 minutes to shoot. As long as the day is well planned, meaning you’ve consulted me regarding the best locations and time of day for the best light, this efficiency can be a reality!

Make time for what you want to get out of your wedding day, and remember that the photos are the strongest ties you’ll have to that whirlwind of a day.
